This classic carnivore breakfast combines tender, juicy steak with perfectly cooked eggs for a high-protein, satisfying meal. It’s quick to make, packed with flavor, and perfect for those starting their carnivore diet journey.

Ingredients

  • 2 (6 oz) ribeye steaks (or your favorite cut)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp beef tallow, ghee, or butter
  • Salt, to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat a cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of beef tallow, ghee, or butter to coat the pan.
  2. Season the steaks lightly with salt (optional) and place them in the hot skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your preferred doneness. Remove and let them rest on a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the remaining tablespoon of tallow, ghee, or butter.
  4. Crack eggs into the pan and cook sunny-side-up, or scramble them to your preference.
  5. Plate the steaks and eggs together, spooning any remaining pan drippings over the top for extra flavor.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
